To provide a method for producing a gear capable of easily producing a gear having high dimensional accuracy, to provide the gear having high dimensional accuracy, and to provide a highly reliable reduction gear and robot.
In a method for producing a gear, a gear including a tooth part and a core part is produced by using a metal injection molding method. The method for producing a gear includes the steps of: obtaining a molded body by performing two-color injection molding on a first portion to become the tooth part and a second portion to become the core part; obtaining a sintered body by performing defatting and sintering on the molded body; and performing leveling on the sintered body, wherein a material constituting the first portion includes a first metal powder and a first binder, a material constituting the second portion includes a second metal powder and a second binder, an average particle diameter of the first metal powder is bigger than the average particle diameter of the second metal powder, the average particle diameter of the first metal powder is 10-50 μm, and the average particle diameter of the second metal powder is 1-10 μm.
