Abstract:
To provide an efficient method for producing a glyoxylic acid monohydrate having white powdery appearance and high purity.
A powder of glyoxylic acid salt is added to 50-70 wt.% glyoxylic acid solution to deposit a glyoxylic acid monohydrate crystal, which is separated when the concentration of the solid components in the disperse liquid shows 20 to 40 wt.%.
