Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a copolymer which is excellent in ozone resistance and can improve crack growth resistance of a rubber composition by being blended into the rubber composition.SOLUTION: A method for producing a graft polymer which comprises a backbone polymer moiety containing a non-conjugated olefin unit and an aromatic vinyl unit, and a branch polymer moiety bonded to the backbone polymer moiety and containing a conjugated diene unit includes: a step A of copolymerizing one or more non-conjugated olefin compounds and one or more aromatic vinyl compounds to form the backbone polymer moiety; and a step B of graft-polymerizing one or more conjugated diene compounds onto the backbone polymer moiety to form the branch polymer moiety. At least one of the aromatic vinyl compounds used in the step A has one or more alkyl groups bonded to an aromatic ring.SELECTED DRAWING: None
