Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a grafted polyethylene, by which the polyethylene grafted with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative in a high addition degree and having a high quality can be obtained by an inexpensive melting method, to obtain a resin composition using the grafted polyethylene and having an excellent adhesive strength, and to provide a laminate using the resin composition.

The method for producing the grafted polyethylene is characterized by adding 0.05 to 3.5 pts.wt. of a powdery unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative and 0.005 to 0.5 pt.wt. of a radical initiator to 100 pts.wt. of ungranulated polyethylene powder, and melting and kneading the mixture with a monoaxial kneader. A multi-layered product using the adhesive resin composition is suitable also for multi-layered products which have high qualities and are produced under conditions sever for adhesive resins, such as a large molding rate or a low molding temperature.
