Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide green light-emitting phosphor particles, an internal quantum efficiency of which does not decrease easily even when europium is doped in excess.SOLUTION: There are provided green light-emitting phosphor particles comprising (Sr, Ba, Ca)GaS:Eu(where 0.13≤x≤0.15) and having a value of (an internal quantum efficiency/an absorption efficiency) of 0.7 or more, by obtaining a powder containing europium and strontium from a solution containing an europium compound and a strontium compound by a wet process or obtaining a powder containing europium and an alkaline earth metal except radium from a solution containing an europium compound and an alkaline earth metal except radium by a wet process; mixing the powder obtained by the wet process and a powder of a gallium compound; and calcinating the mixed powder.
