Abstract:

To provide a method for efficiently producing an organic compound containing a hetero atom such as an iodine atom, a sulfur atom, a selenium atom, a tellurium atom, etc., by simply and safely replacing a fluorine atom bonded to an sp3 hybridized carbon with the hetero atom.

The method for producing a compound having a bond represented by general formula (b): C*-Z (C* is an sp3 hybridized carbon; and Z is I or a group represented by the formula RY-; Y is S, Se or Te; R is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group and any group may contain a substituent group) comprises reacting a fluorine compound having a bond represented by general formula (a): C*-F with a magnesium compound represented by general formula (2): Z-MgX (X is F, Cl, Br or I).
