Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration with age of a catalyst in producing high calorific value fuel gas by converting ethane into a fuel gas by subjecting ethanol and hydrogen to catalytic reaction in the presence of a catalyst formed by carrying palladium and a heteropoly acid on an inorganic oxide carrier.SOLUTION: Methane is allowed to coexist when ethanol and hydrogen are subjected to catalytic reaction to convert into ethane in the presence of a catalyst formed by carrying palladium and a heteropoly acid on an inorganic oxide carrier.
