Abstract:
To obtain a high-density fabric having soft feeling, free from occurrence of chalk marks and having both high moisture permeability and waterproofness.
This high-density fabric with a cover factor of 2,000-3,000 is produced by the following process: in the finish processing step, a fabric which is plain-woven using polyester filament yarns 0.3-1.2 dtex in single filament fineness and 80-150 dtex in total fineness as both warp and weft is subjected to water-repelling treatment comprising imparting the fabric with a fluorine- based water repellent and milling treatment comprising nipping the fabric in between an endless rubber belt and a hot steel roll and allowing the fabric to travel under pressure contact.
