To provide a new agent for improving yield and drainage performance in papermaking machine and hard to be interfered from high concentrations of salt, polyanions or anionic colloids, and to provide a papermaking method using the agent.
A high molecular weight zwitterionic inner-salt copolymers are produced by copolimerizing one or more nonionic monomers and various specific zwitterionic monomers, and is used as an agent for improving yield or an agent for improving drainage.
