To provide a method for producing highly heat-resistant polyimide fine fiber capable of producing the same having higher heat resistance as compared to conventionally known fiber, with excellent solution stability and spinnability by using a polyimide solution obtained by dissolving the polyimide in an organic solvent, in an electrostatic spinning method in which nanosized fine fibers can be obtained, and to provide a method for producing a nonwoven fabric comprising the polyimide fine fiber.
The highly heat-resistant polyimide fine fiber is obtained by using a polyimide solution obtained by dissolving in an organic solvent a polyimide having a specific chemical structure composed of an acid component such as 2,3,3',4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic acid dianhydride, 3,3',4,4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic acid dianhydride, pyromellitic acid dianhydride, or 3,3',4,4'-diphenylmethanetetracarboxylic acid dianhydride, and toluene diisocyanate or diamine components such as diaminotoluene, and then using an electrospinning of the solution.
