Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a hollow body made of a rapidly solidified metal where a core can be easily taken out, and a hollow body such as a metal glass with a complicated shape can be produced, and to provide a production device for a hollow body made of a rapidly solidified metal.

A heat source can melt a metal material 1. A mold 11 has a hollow part 21. A core 12 is made of graphite and can be pulverized, and is arranged at the hollow part 21 in the mold 11 so as to have a gap 24 at a space with the inside face of the hollow part 21. A molten metal injection means 13 is provided in such a manner that the metal material 1 melted by the heat source can be injected into the gap 24. A cooling means can rapidly cool the metal material 1 injected into the gap 24 at a critical cooling rate or above. A particle spraying apparatus 14 is provided so as to spray high speed particles onto the core 12, thus the core 12 can be pulverized.
