Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain an immobilized enzyme having high reaction efficiency and also easy to handle, to provide a method for producing the immobilized enzyme, and to provide a method for producing an optically active cyanohydrin by the use of the immobilized enzyme.
SOLUTION: This immobilized enzyme is characterized by being obtained by immobilizing an R-hydroxynitrile lyase through physical adsorption onto a carrier consisting of porous clay-based sintered carrier and/or porous silica- based carrier. The method for producing an optically active cyanohydrin by the use of the above immobilized enzyme is also provided.
