Abstract:
To provide a method for easily producing an indene-based polymer having good physical properties including optical properties, mechanical strength and low water absorptivity, and to provide high-quality and inexpensive molded products and optical components using the polymer.
The method for producing the indene-based polymer comprises carrying out copolymerization of 0.01-5 pt(s). wt. of a cationically polymerizable polyfunctional monomer with 100 pts. wt. of a monomer mixture essentially containing a monomer of the general formula(1) in the presence of an organic solvent.
