Abstract:
To provide a new method for promptly and readily producing an intercalation compound in which a monohydric alcohol is intercalated between the layers of the intercalation compound having a basic composition comprising vanadium, phosphorus and oxygen.
This method for producing the intercalation compound in which a monohydric alcohol is intercalated therebetween is characterized in that a vanadium oxide in which the atomic valence of vanadium is tetra- or penta-valent, phosphorus pentaoxide and monohydric alcohol are reacted under pressure.
