To provide a method giving possibility of producing knitted fabrics having plural knit surface on a two-needle bed flat knitting machine, and capable of applying each needle of the needle bed for forming stitches for different knitting planes.

This method comprises the following: all the needles of one needle bed of a two-needle bed flat knitting machine are usable for forming stitches for one knitting plane and formation of additional stitches are made possibly by transferring stitches of another knitting plane to a transferring device and keeping them on the transferring device until new stitches for the knitting plane must be formed again.
