Abstract:
To enhance the productivity of L-cysteine-producing bacteria and to provide a method for producing the L-cysteine by using the strain.
The method comprises culture of the L-cysteine-producing bacterium belonging to genus Escherichia with enhanced expression of the cysPTWAM cluster genes, in a culture medium containing thiosulfate and collection of the L-cysteine from the medium.
