To provide a simple and commercailly advantageous method for producing laurolactam by conducting a Beckmann rearrangement reaction of cyclododecanonoxime.

The method for producing laurolactam comprises conducting a Beckmann rearrangement reaction of cyclododecanonoxime in the presence of cyanuric chloride as the catalyst without using any solvent separately other than the cyclododecanonoxime as the raw material and the laurolactam as the product, i.e. so-called solventlessly. Thereby, the objective laurolactam can be produced by easily and commercailly advantageously conducting the Beckmann rearrangement reaction of cyclododecanonoxime.
