Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a liquid crystal alignment film which can reduce the warpage of a substrate.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal alignment film is produced by a method comprising the steps of applying a liquid crystal aligning agent comprising at least one polymer (A) selected from the group consisting of polyimide, polyamic acid, polyamic acid ester, and polyorganosiloxane, and inorganic oxide particles (B) to the surface of a substrate of a thickness of 0.01-0.5 mm, and of heating the surface applied with the liquid crystal aligning agent.
