Abstract:
To provide a liquid developer excellent in a charging characteristic of positive charging and to provide a method for producing a liquid developer capable of easily producing such a liquid developer.
The method for producing a liquid developer includes a coarse grinding process of coarsely grinding a resin material comprising a polyester resin and a rosin based resin to provide a coarsely ground material and a wet grinding process of performing wet grinding in an insulating liquid comprising polyalkylene imine and a dispersant. A number-average molecular weight of polyalkylene imine is preferably 300 to 200,000. The polyalkylene imine is preferably polyethylene imine.
