Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a lubricating oil base oil by which the lubricating oil base oil having high viscosity index and low pour point can be obtained in high yield from n-paraffin-based hydrocarbon.
The method for producing the lubricating oil base oil comprises obtaining the lubricating oil base oil through a process for making a catalyst containing a zeolite having a laumontite structure in which ≥20% of ion exchange site is substituted with proton act on n-paraffin-based hydrocarbon or its hydrocracked product.
