To provide a method for producing luppe using high zinc-content iron ore with which the effective utilization can be obtained.
This method for producing the luppe using the high zinc-content iron ore is particularly used as the followings, that mixed raw materials 4 for mixing the iron ore containing the high zinc-content iron ore composed of 0.01 mass% zinc and 50 mass% iron, carbonaceous solid reducing material and slag-making material are piled up on a moving-type furnace hearth 3, and the mixed raw materials 4 are reduced by supplying the heat from the upper part of the furnace hearth 3 and further, fused to obtain the reduced iron. It is desirable that a blending ratio of the high zinc-content iron ore is 10 mass% of the whole iron ore; the mixed raw materials 4 are piled up on the piling-up layer of the carbonaceous material on the furnace hearth 3; the mixed raw materials 4 are agglomerated and piled up on the furnace hearth 3; and the mixed raw materials 4 are heated to 1450C.
