Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a maleic anhydride modified polyvinyl chloride resin composition capable of obtaining a maleic anhydride modified polyvinyl chloride resin at a high addition rate without coloration while suppressing thermal decomposition or adhesion to a metal of polyvinyl chloride.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a maleic anhydride modified polyvinyl chloride resin composition which comprises melt-kneading polyvinyl chloride, 0.5 to 20 pts.mass of a thermal stabilizer based on 100 pts.mass of the polyvinyl chloride, 1 to 30 pts.mass of maleic anhydride based on 100 pts.mass of the polyvinyl chloride, 0.05 to 5 pts.mass of an organic peroxide based on 100 pts.mass of the polyvinyl chloride and 0.5 to 10 pts.mass of an external lubricant based on 100 pts.mass of the polyvinyl chloride, wherein as the thermal stabilizer, the content of a compound having at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a thiol group and a hydroxyl group is less than 0.01 ppm based on 100 pts.mass of the polyvinyl chloride.SELECTED DRAWING: None
