Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a metal component, upon the drying of a workpiece water-cooled after mold casting in a pressure-reduced environment, preventing the remaining of ice grains on the surface of the workpiece after the drying.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a metal component comprising: a mold casting step (S100) where a molten metal is press-fitted into a mold 1 to mold-cast a workpiece 3; a cooling step (S110) where the workpiece 3 discharged from the mold 1 is immersed into cooling water 5 to cool the workpiece 3; a drying step (S120) where the cooled workpiece 3 is dried in a pressure-reduced environment; and a working step (S130) where the worked workpiece 3 is worked. The temperature of the workpiece 3 upon the start of the pressure reduction in the drying step (S120) is controlled to a second temperature (prescribed temperature) or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
