Abstract:

To provide a highly selective catalyst production method used for synthesis of vinyl acetate monomer, in hydrogenation of hydrocarbons, in particular selective hydrogenation of polyunsaturated hydrocarbon compounds, etc. or in oxidation of alcohols to aldehydes, ketones or carboxylic acids.

The shell catalyst includes, in an outer shell, one or more of chloride-free metallic compounds of Pd, Pt, Ag and Au, and in the production method, intermediate calcining is not performed between application of a precursor compound and temperature treatment.
