Abstract:

To provide a grease filter which has reduced apparent specific gravity in order to decrease weight of the grease filter and further has enough bending strength and high oil removal performance and to provide a method for producing the grease filter.

The grease filter is made of a metal porous body and the metal porous body is produced by an electroplating process in a plating solution where a matrix is nickel and silicon carbide is suspended. A method for producing the grease filter is also provided.
