Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a process for quickly producing a metallic fiber ball having a prescribed diameter.

CONSTITUTION: A metallic fiber ball 4 is quickly produced with extremely simple procedure by putting a number of metallic fibers 1 having prescribed length into a container 2 and blowing air downward into the container 2 along a part of the inner wall, of the container to rotate the metallic fibers 1 in the container 2. The metallic fiber 1 can be formed in spherical form having a diameter nearly equal, to the inner diameter of the container 2 to enable the production of fiber balls 4 having definite diameter.
