To provide a method for efficiently recovering a reusable active catalyst from reaction liquid and reusing as at least a part of the catalyst used for next time in producing an objective (meth)acylate by performing the ester-interchange reaction of an alkyl (meth)acrylate with an alcohol.
This method for producing the (meth)acrylate is provided by including a distilling process of heating the reaction liquid containing the ester-interchanged (meth)acrylate for distilling the compound, an extracting/separating process of bringing catalyst-containing liquid containing a titanium compound, obtained from the distilling process in contact with an organic solvent for extracting the titanium compound to separate the titanium compound in the organic solvent phase and a recovering process of recovering the titanium compound from the organic solvent phase, and reusing the titanium compound obtained by the recovery process as the part of the ester-interchange reaction catalyst.
