Abstract:
To provide a method for removing byproduct ethylene formed in producing monofluoromethane from the monofluoromethane without relying on distillation.
A method for producing monofluoromethane is provided, including a step of bringing a monofluoromethane composition containing at least ethylene into contact with a carboxylic acid chloride represented by RCOCl (wherein, R is 1-3C alkyl).
