PURPOSE: To provide a method for obtaining a monohalogenoalkene compound in a good yield by a safe method.
CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a monohalogenoalkene compound comprises heating an α,ω-dihalogenoalkane compound in the presence of a tetraalkylurea compound for removing a hydrogen halide.
