Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially simple method for producing an aromatic compound having 2 or more glycidyl groups in an aromatic skeleton and low molecular weight, with safety, low cost, high yield and low chlorine content.SOLUTION: Hydrogen peroxide (b) is reacted with an aromatic compound (a) having an aromatic ring in a molecule, one or more specific 2-alkenyl group and specific 2-alkenyl ether group respectively and molecular weight of 170 to 300 in the presence of a nitryl compound (c) to oxidize the aromatic compound (a) in a uniform phase reaction liquid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
