Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide newsprint paper for offset printing having excellent offset printability scarcely causing voids of printing element parts.
SOLUTION: The method for producing the newsprint paper for the offset printing comprises draining of water from a wire surface of paper through a felt with the final press roll in a press part of a paper machine equipped with at least 2 press rolls and removing vessels in a weak bonded state sticking to the paper surface from the paper surface. The resultant newsprint paper scarcely causes the voids. The formation of the voids can effectively be suppressed even when the content of pulp derived from hardwood containing a large amount of the vessels is ≥5 wt.%.
