To provide a method for producing a wide range of high-performance non-grain-oriented electrical steel sheets having excellent magnetic properties.
A steel starting material, especially a pre-rolled slab heated to 1250C reheat temperature, and a directly cast steel strip or a thin steel slab, contain, by wt%, 0.06% C, 0.03-2.5% Si, 0.4% Al, 0.05-1.0% Mn, 0.02% S and further, if necessary, additional alloy elements and the balance Fe with standard accompanying elements. This steel starting material is fed into a finish-roll stand at a run-in temperature of 1100C and hot-rolled to a hot-rolled steel strip having 3.5 mm thickness at a final rolling temperature (TET) of 770C. The hot-rolled steel strip is reeled at a reeling temperature (THT) as a function of the final rolling temperature, and after pickling, the pickled steel strip is cold-rolled in several passes to the cold-rolled steel strip having 0.2-1 mm thickness with a total deformation degree of 85%. The cold-rolled strip then undergoes a final-treatment. The above method makes it possible to produce a wide range of high-quality non-grain-oriented electrical steel sheets with improved magnetic properties.
