Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a nonwoven fabric, which exhibits a high tensile strength in a CD direction, has a low impedance when used in an electrochemical element separator, and is less likely to cause a curl due to a heat drying process during a battery assembly.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a nonwoven fabric, in which a wet-laid nonwoven fabric containing a drawn polyester fiber and an undrawn polyester fiber is allowed to pass between a heated metal roll and an elastic roll to treat. The elastic roll has a hardness of 50 to 78 measured by using a type D durometer according to JIS K 6253-3:2012.SELECTED DRAWING: None
