To provide a method for producing an excellent optical laminate, in which such a chance can be decreased drastically that deformations such as striped wrinkles are caused in a base material layer, and adhesiveness of the base material layer to an ionizing radiation-curable resin layer can be improved, even when an extrusion-molded sheet is employed as the base material layer.
A transmission type screen 10 includes: a light diffusion layer 13 being the base material layer made from a thermoplastic resin; and an optical shape layer 12 which is formed on one surface of the light diffusion layer 13, has an optical shape on the surface thereof and is made from an ultraviolet-curable resin. The method for producing the transmission type screen 10 includes: a heat treatment step of heating the light diffusion layer 13; an optical shape layer formation step of pressing the light diffusion layer 13 to a molding die and irradiating a molding roll 55 with ultraviolet rays, in such a state that an ultraviolet-curable resin 12R is filled in the molding roll 55 for giving the optical shape, to cure the ultraviolet-curable resin 12R and form the optical shape layer 12; and a release step of releasing the light diffusion layer 13, on one surface of which the optical shape layer 12 is formed, from the molding roll 55.
