Abstract:

To provide an industrially advantageous production method of an optically active 3-aminopiperidine.

3-Aminopiperidine is optically resolved by a diastereomer method using as a resolving agent (A) optically active 2-methoxyphenylacetic acid or (B) optically active N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)phenylalanine. In the case that the resolving agent (B) is used, (R)-3-aminopiperidine and (S)-3-aminopiperidine are obtained, respectively by using, as a reaction medium for the formation of the diastereomer salt, (a) methanol or a mixed solvent of water with methanol and (b) ethanol or 2-propanol.
