To provide a practicable method for producing an optically active fluorine-containing alkynylated product having a possible use as an intermediate for important pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
This optically active fluorine-containing alkynylated product can be produced by reacting a fluorine-containing α-keto ester with a silylacetylene in the presence of [a transition metal complex having optically active ligands] and subsequently hydrolyzing the resultant reaction product. The production method, which is a catalytic asymmetrical synthesis method, can produce the objective optically active fluorine-containing alkynylated product in a high yield and in an extremely high optical purity. Further, also when a silylacetylene having a hydrogen atom in the propargyl position is used, a desired alkynylated product only can be selectively obtained. A product of high chemical purity can therefore be obtained. Thus, this invention provides a practicable method for producing an optically active fluorine-containing alkynylated product having a possible use as an intermediate for important pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
