To provide a method for producing a cellulose derivative, a lignin derivative, and a hemicellulose derivative from biomass in a manner in which the chemical structure is comparatively scarcely changed.
A method for producing organic compounds, in which the organic compounds obtained by decomposing biomass are to be isolated, comprises: a decomposition step to make the biomass exist in the presence of a mixed solvent including water and an aprotic polar solvent and to subject them to decomposition treatment under high temperature and high pressure; a first recovery step to recover a cellulose derivative from treated matter obtained via the decomposition step and obtain a dissolved fraction after recovery; a removal by distillation step to remove the aprotic solvent by distillation from the dissolved fraction obtained in the first recovery step; and a second recovery step to separate a lignin derivative and a hemicellulose derivative from treated matter obtained in the removal by distillation step, and recover them.
