To provide a method for easily producing an organic-inorganic composite material containing a matrix polymer selected from polymers such as a polyamide produced by using an aromatic diamine as a starting monomer, a polyurea and a polyurethane.
The method is for producing the organic-inorganic composite material from (1) an organic solvent solution containing (a) at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of a dicarboxylic acid halide, a dichloroformate compound and a phosgene compound and (b) a diamine and (2) an aqueous solution containing (c-1) a metal compound having two or more metal elements including at least one alkali metal and selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, metal hydroxides and metal carbonates, (c-2) an alkali metal silicate or (c-3) a clay mineral by making these solutions to be coexistent while keeping at least a part of the solutions in a compatibilized state or a separated state, thereby reacting the monomer (a) with the diamine (b) and simultaneously precipitating the inorganic component.
