Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily obtaining a lithium manganese double oxide particulate composition having a uniform composition using an inexpensive raw material by wet heating method without necessitating the firing of a raw material mixture at a high temp. and without using expensive manganese oxyhydroxide as a raw material in a producing method of the lithium manganese double oxide particulate composition capable of being used as a positive active material for a lithium ion secondary battery. SOLUTION: The producing method of the lithium manganese double oxide particulate composition is by heating a manganese oxide expressed by formula I, MnOy .zH2 O ((y) represents rational numbers of 1-2, (z) represents a rational number of 0 or 1. In such a case, a case of y=3/2, z=1/2 is excepted) and at least one kind of the manganese compound selected from basic manganese carbonates expressed by formula II, Mn(OH)a (CO3 )b , ((a) represents rational numbers of 0-2, (b) represents a rational number of 0-1) in a lithium hydroxide aq. solution and separating from the aq. solution.
