Abstract:

To provide a method for efficiently producing highly pure paraffin without performing troublesome operations such as distillation, and a paraffin production device.

A paraffin production device 100 includes a separation/recovery means 1, and a hydrogenation means 2. The separation/recovery means 1 has a separator including silver ions. In the separation/recovery means 1, a source gas including olefin as a main constituent thereof is brought into contact with the separator to separate impurities and recover olefin from the source gas. The hydrogenation means 2 obtains highly pure paraffin by bringing the highly pure olefin obtained by the separation/recovery means 1 into contact with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst to induce a hydrogenation reaction.
