Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a PEEK resin fiber, in which PEEK resin fiber can be efficiently obtained in a simple manner without using an expensive apparatus by using a laser melting electrospinning method driven at a low output.SOLUTION: A method for producing a PEEK resin fiber of the invention comprises: irradiating a polymer sheet that is mainly composed of a PEEK resin and comprises an infrared absorber formulated therein with zonal laser beams to heat and melt linearly an end part of the polymer sheet; forming needle-like projecting parts on the zonal molten part of the polymer sheet by applying a potential difference between the melting zonal molten part and a fiber collecting plate; flying fibers ejected from the needle-like projecting parts in the fiber collecting plate direction; and capturing them on the fiber collecting plate or a capturing member interposed between the molten part and the fiber collecting plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
