Abstract:
To provide a method for simple and efficient conversion of a lignocellulose-based biomass into a lignocellulose composite material having melt-moldability by phenolating and regenerating it without requiring any particular pre-treatment.
A lignocellulose-based biomass is swelled and/or partially dissolved using a solution containing an ionic liquid, and reacted with a phenol compound added thereto, to produce the lignocellulose composite material having melt-moldability.
