To provide a triarylmethane-based pigment fine particle capable of allowing a color filter for liquid crystal display devices, in which filter the triarylmethane-based pigment fine particle is used, to have high luminance, a tone to be unchanged even by a long-term thermal history and light irradiation, and high contrast.
The triarylmethane-based pigment fine particle shown by general formula (1) is obtained by respectively circulating a dyestuff-dissolved solution and a heteropolyoxometalate anion-dissolved solution in separate micro-sized tubes in liquid-tight states and reacting a dyestuff in the dyestuff-dissolved solution with a heteropolyoxometalate anion in the heteropolyoxometalate anion-dissolved solution in a minute space under a high reaction temperature condition while remarkably enhancing mixability thereof.
