Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a pneumatic tire having a chlorosulfonated polyethylene layer as the outermost layer of the side wall which can improve the flexural fatigue strength of the tire.
In the method for producing the pneumatic tire, a chlorosulfonated polyethylene composition prepared by dissolving chlorosulfonated polyethylene in a solvent is applied on the outermost layer of the side wall of an unvulcanized tire and vulcanized after being dried to form the chlorosulfonated polyethylene layer.
