To provide a method for producing a polyester fiber structure having highly durable flame-retardance, negative ion generation, antibacterial property, mildewproofing property, etc., and free from halogen element such as chlorine element and bromine element.
The method for the production of the polyester fiber structure comprises the two-stage treatment of a polyester fiber with at least one kind of flame-retarding compound selected from the following formulas (A) to (D). The 2nd stage treatment is carried out by using a mixed composition of a flame-retarding compound composition composed mainly of the flame retarding compound (D) and a functional agent. (A) The compound of formula (1), (B) the compound of formula (2), (C) the compound of formula (3), and (D) the compound of formula (4).
