Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing an obliquely stretched polyester film.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a polyester film, in which oblique stretching is carried out by holding both ends of the film in a width direction by holding tools and varying pitches of the holding tools in a film travelling direction at different positions by the holding tools at both ends, using a tenter-type stretching device. In the method for producing the polyester film, the film is stretched by 1.05 to 1.20 times in the travelling direction before stretching is carried out by the tenter-type stretching device.
