Abstract:

To produce a polymer electrolytic membrane improved in radical resistance without increasing its production process.

This process of producing a fluorine-based polymer electrolytic membrane precursor by emulsion polymerization and coagulation is provided by incorporating a compound containing a metal selected from the group consisting of Ce, Tl, Mn and Yb in at least one of an emulsifying agent, a polymerization initiator and a coagulant. Thereby, it is possible to incorporate the compound containing the metal uniformly in the polymer electrolytic membrane without increasing the production process and to improve the radical resistance of the electrolytic membrane.
