There is provided a method for producing a polyol dehydrogenase composition, including a separation step of obtaining an enzyme solution containing the polyol dehydrogenase by separating the polyol dehydrogenase containing pyrroloquinoline quinone as a prosthetic group from a bacterium in the presence of a nonionic surfactant, an ultrafiltration step of obtaining an enzyme-concentrated liquid containing the polyol dehydrogenase by subjecting the enzyme solution to the ultrafiltration in the presence of a polyalkylene glycol, and a drying step of obtaining the polyol dehydrogenase composition by drying the enzyme-concentrated liquid.
