Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a polyoxyalkylene adduct having sufficiently reduced discoloration, and suitably applicable to various kinds of applications, especially an optical material or a light-resistant material with high productivity; and to provide such the polyoxyalkylene adduct.

The method for producing the polyoxyalkylene adduct involves a step for carrying out an addition reaction of an alkylene oxide on an active hydrogen-containing compound in the presence of an alkali catalyst at 80-110°C reaction temperature.
