Abstract:
To provide a novel method for manufacturing a polyurethane copolymer that can easily synthesize a product with a high molecular weight, and that can endow the polymer with and can control characteristic functions by regulating the polyurethane structure.
An aziridine represented by chemical formula (1) is heated in carbon dioxide in a subcritical or supercritical state to manufacture a polyurethane copolymer represented by chemical formula (2) (wherein R1, R2, R3and R4are each, same or different, a hydrogen atom or hydrocarbon group that may be substituted, or R1and R2are bonded together directly or with an intervening different atom in between to form a hydrocarbon chain or hydrocarbon group that may be substituted; and m and n are the ratios of the unit structures).
